Mosaic and painting artist
Born in Safed, the city of mystery, art and Kabbalah. The city of the greatest Kabbalists. In 1990, when he was five years old, he began to paint after his aunt discovered his talent for painting and gave him a brush and paint.
He first performed restorations for famous artists such as Roly Shefer from Safed and Vincent Van Gogh, from whom he was greatly influenced and his post-Impressionist style and liked to paint in different styles of art.
At his Bar Mitzvah he presented an exhibition in the hall and received great praise for his talent, which stimulated him to paint and develop.
In high school he studied in the yeshiva for art in Safed in the fields that combine science and art – biology and art under the teachers Edna Oz and Rabbi Goren
After his discharge from the army as a fighter in the Artillery Corps, the painting bug continued to bother him and he continued to paint in various styles and even to study art at Safed College
All of his life he combined love to science with his passion for art and in 2009 he received a degree with honors in Biotechnology Engineering but at the same time he always continued to paint.
Nathaniel worked as a researcher at the Technion and as a food engineer in large companies, but he always returned to work in the evenings as a painter and artist.
In 2014, when his beloved aunt was diagnosed with cancer, he decided to perform a unique work of art for her family. His aunt loved the art of mosaic and the city of Safed. Nathaniel decided to revive her through art work. The work is a turning painting on a wooden bolet, with the background being mosaic forming the Old City of Safed. The artistic work of his aunt made Nathaniel exposed to the art of mosaic and Nathaniel continued to combine figures with a mosaic of rabbis and other figures
